Bon Odori Penang 2011 槟城 盆舞节（盆踊り） 2011

一年一度的槟城日本盆舞节又到来了。
Penang Bon Odori again~

日本盆舞节（Bon Odori，日本人称之为‘盆踊’），又称日本鬼节，源自日本人祭祖先忆亡魂。
这节日的主要目的是敬奉及欢迎先人灵魂的归来,然后一起相聚与共舞。因此舞蹈是此节日的重头戏。
如今，这项节日已演变成日本人维系文化情感的欢娱日子。

Bon Odori (known as 盆踊り in Japanese), is a festival which to remember their ancestors and welcome their soul and having dance together. Therefore the traditional dance is important.
Today, this festival has become one of the way to maintain the cultural feelings.

由于槟城是日本人居住的重镇之一，所以在这工作、生活与退休的日本人，在加上日本领事馆的协助，每年都会很积极地举办这个节日。这渐渐的成为槟城年度庆典之一。


Penang is one of the cities which have quite a number of Japanese. Therefore those who work, live or retired here, with the help form Japanese Consulate are actively organizing this festival. It has become one of the annual events in Penang.

今年与往年一样，地点位于旧关仔角（Esplanade）即康华丽堡（Fort Cornwallis）旁的草场。当天会有许多美食与日本传统小游戏。除此以外，许多人都会等待压轴节目 -- 烟花。每一年都有些槟城日本公司与槟城日本协会赞助。

● 日本雅太鼓演奏及日本舞蹈：
每年的盆舞节都会在日本雅太鼓的激昂鼓声中掀开序幕，中央舞台上则会分好几个时段进行传统日本舞蹈：阿波踊舞、神户南公连舞、夜来舞，以及马来民谣Rasa Sayang，让民众闻歌起舞，完全投入其中。
● 日本美食及游戏：
每年都会有超过50个日本美食及游戏的义卖摊格，从6时开始至11时一片人海，寸步难移。
● 日本美食：
如果你喜欢日本美食，这里售卖的各种各样寿司，肯定大饱你的眼福口福，包括有着酥脆口感和鲜嫩内馅的章鱼烧、日式炒面、炸得香脆可口的天妇罗等。
● 捞金鱼：
日本民俗的捞金鱼休闲玩意是每年盆舞节最受欢迎的项目之一，从人群重重包围的场面就可以证明其“火红”程度。
日本捞金鱼的玩法就是用网将金鱼捞起来，小心不要让网子破掉。日本人相信，捞金鱼能为大家带来福气与好运的祝福。

我们六时左右到达，场地不会很多人。 远处发现有许多棚，靠近了才晓得许多人在哪儿。 整条街摆满售卖食物的档口。 也有酒店餐厅做促销。吃了晚餐，开始到处逛逛，由于遇到不少朋友，结果大多数时间是在聊天。

天色渐暗，享受着音乐与舞蹈。等待着烟花。十时左右，大家开始到数烟花燃烧。烟花结束后，还有幸运抽奖。凡有购买食物固本，每RM20就有一个幸运抽奖表格。

节目结束后，草场一片垃圾。人们还是没改乱抛垃圾得习惯。

As in previous years, the festival will be at Esplanade (the big field beside Fort Cornwallis). On that day it will have lots of foods and traditional Japanese games. Other than that, fireworks will be one of the items in the program which attract most of the people. The fireworks are sponsored by some Japanese companies in Penang with Penang Japanese Association every year.

Below are some programs on the day:

• Japanese Taiko performance and Japanese dance:

Ever year, the festival with start by the Japanese Taiko performance. The center stage will have few slots of traditional Japanese dance performance.

• Japanese food and games:

Every year there will be more than 50 booths of Japanese foods and games for charity. You will find lots of Japanese foods such as different types of sushi, takoyaki, tempura etc.
Fishing goldfish is one of the most popular games. The play is getting the gold fish without letting the net broken.. Japanese believes that fishing goldfish will bring good fortune and good luck.


We reach there around 6pm, still not many people there. Far away I saw a lot of tents. found a lot of people there. A lot of food store along the streets and some hotel restaurant having promotion too. After dinner,, we start walking around. Most of the time is chitchatting as meet a lot of friends.

Enjoying the music and dance while waiting the fireworks. Around 10pm all of us star counting down for the fireworks. The lucky draw is just after the fireworks end. you will get a lucky draw form for each RM20 food coupon you bought. The field full of rubbish after the event. how sad is it.
